A running list of bugs I've hit in ElevenReader.io, across web, Chrome extension, and iOS — kept here so the team can fix them.

Because ElevenReader.io is my dream that came true without me lifting a finger, I it’s my obligation to provide feedback to its authors to make it better.

Below is the list of issues I’ve encountered in hope it helps to fix it.

2026-09-30

  • Bug O — Chrome extension issue shows up on random pages (e.g. turbotax.com); on Linux Chrome it happens 100% of the time.

  • Bug N — Voice design: a prompt asking for a deep, NYC-accented English voice produced a voice speaking German.
  • Bug M — Web import/scraper mangles the first sentence of a Paul Graham essay.
  • Bug L — Double import: same URL imported twice, no dedup.
  • Bug K — Chrome extension is extremely slow; no clear feedback that the import worked.

  • Bug J — PDF upload (Import → Upload) gives no status/progress; uploaded book (Asimov, The Genetic Code) never appeared.

  • Bug I — Chrome extension on Linux constantly asks to log in again.
  • Bug H — Files being processed vanish from the Library after navigating away.
  • Bug G — ePub upload (public-domain 1920 physics book) fails silently and disappears from Library; uploaded 3×. Same book as PDF works.

  • Bug F — 1Password login broken: 1Password offers to log in, pressing “yes” does nothing; must use “login with email” and click Login manually.

  • Bug E — iOS: downloads never finish (stuck at 70% after 5 retries).
  • Bug D — iOS: app caches offline status; must kill the app to recover.

  • Bug C — First PDF upload flagged as “suspicious activity detected”.
  • Bug B — Chrome: Google sign-up asks for a verification code that never arrives.
  • Bug A — Safari: sign-up with Google or Apple hangs on a spinner.
